Wireless Game Buzzer System for Group Play
Project Overview
A client approached us to develop a wireless buzzer system for use in classrooms, team-building events, and family game nights. The system needed to support 1 facilitator unit and multiple wireless buzzers—all responsive, robust, and easy to use.
Client Objectives
- Design a wireless buzzer system with fast response time
- Allow pairing of 4 to 40+ buzzers to a single host/facilitator unit
- Include lights + sound feedback on each buzzer
- Create a durable build for repeat use in classrooms and live events
- Optional: Enable software integration via USB or Bluetooth
Our Solution
System Architecture
- Designed a central facilitator unit with LED screen, game mode selector, and reset function
- Created individual wireless buzzers with visual/audible feedback and unique IDs
- Developed proprietary low-latency RF protocol with auto-pairing & group management
Product Design
- Compact handheld buzzers with anti-slip grip and one-touch button
- LED ring lights for response feedback
- ABS + silicone casing for durability and comfort
Optional Connectivity
- Facilitator hub with USB-C / Bluetooth for app or PC sync
- Firmware that supports game modes: “First to Buzz,” “Team Play,” “Timed Response”
